1st Post

My name is Whitney Tomita and I'm currently a junior at Washington State University. I am majoring in elementary education; and would love to teach kindergarten at an inner-city school (most likely in Seattle) when I am older. My aunt teaches at Beacon Hill Elementary, and I have gone into her classroom to help since I was little. She is the main reason I want to be a teacher. I love how the children look up to her and seeing what a difference she makes in their lives. I am hoping that I can be as amazing of a teacher as she is one day.
